Here’s another fall image I converted to a sketch file with Adobe Ilustrator. Hope you enjoy using it. The Silhouette file also has a path to wrap text on.

It’s all open paths, Susan, so you won’t be able to color it that way, but I’m sure you’ll think of something, possibly using the original version.

Thank you for sharing, and I believe by doing a offset around the image, and than print and cut and than you can color. May have to trace first, but I haven’t really tried this.
If you want to color this image, you will want to use the original vector image with closed paths, not mine which has been specifically edited for drawing.

Judith, the original sketch file is converted to the sketch file using center line trace. You will have to Google it for the software you have but in AI CS4 you basically do a Live Trace off with paths off and strokes on.
Hi Kay – do you have a process to convert to a sketch file using CS6 which doesn’t have Live Trace? I’m on a new system and cannot access older versions of CS. Any help is appreciated. Your sketch work is amazing!
As far as I know, all versions of Illustrator have Live Trace with center line tracing but it might be called something different. If you can’t find it, there are online tools like rapid resizer that can do this but with fewer controls cleversomeday.com/rrcenterline
