My Arrow Crafter font hits Dafont

October 7, 2015 by Kay

arrowanim2a

Just a quick update to let you know that I’ve just had my first font posted to Dafont! Arrow Maker started out with diecutters in mind but I realized it might have broader application as well. Be sure to check out the tips doc and character key that comes in the folder. I’ve got to warn you, this font is just fun to play with.

Check out this fun arrow making font by cleversomeday. Free for personal use.

Download it from Dafont.com here.

For those of you who use Inkscape, Silhouette Studio, SureCutsaLot, Make the Cut or even MSWord, I’ve included many characters made just for text to path so you can make your arrows bend, curve or circle any way you want. Silhouette users can upgrade their text on path skills with this video.

Update: My buddy Rob over at ScrappyDew shows how to use Arrow Crafter with SureCutsALot 4 in this video. Thanks, Rob!

Hi, I found this font today and it looks like lots of fun thanks! I was just wondering what font you used to write ‘love’ in the middle of the arrow as that doesn’t seem to be part of this font and I really like how nicely it all flows together. Thanks!

That is Sacramento, a free Google font. Use it at about double the point size of Arrow Maker. I could have made my own to add to the font, but it would have been ugly. LOL

Thank you so much for sharing! I love this font. I am trying to make the circle arrow…watched the video, but still cannot figure it out. Tips?

    • Kay says

      October 11, 2015 at 2:43 pm

I did use the basic steps in the video, but it is probably easier to just place and rotate the end pieces on your path manually. I have included arrow heads and tails without “stubs” in the font for this purpose.

      • Collette Robbins says

        October 11, 2015 at 3:37 pm

Great! How do I put the shaft on the circular path?

        • Kay says

          October 11, 2015 at 4:00 pm

You don’t. You draw a circular path and that is your shaft, then you add a head and tail with no stub so any width or angle of shaft will work.

I love this font! Excellent work and so trendy right now! I couldn’t find a “contact me” area. I wondered if you do commercial licenses for your fonts. I’m just a tiny business but know my customers would love this. Let me know! Thanks!
