Kay, Thank you for sharing your creativity and knowledge! You are amazing!

I have a question for you. Do you know how I can create a design in Silhouette Design studio, and export it as an svg? I figured if anyone knew, you would! Sincerely, Jo Bunch

Jo, There are 3 basic methods of converting .studio files to .svg…
Good: Screen capture (Snipping Tool for Windows or shift-command-4 for Mac) and trace in Inkscape, AI MTC or SCAL, etc. save or export as SVG.
Better: Save high resolution png via “Print to PDF” (For Windows a one time install of a virtual printer such as Bullzip or PDF Creator will be required: built in to Macs) and trace in Inkscape, AI, MTC or SCAL, etc. save or export as SVG
Best: Save as SVG. This is only possible with Windows Silhouette Studio DE versions 1.9 or 2.0
You should be able to google more information on any of these methods.

Congratulations! I went all out decorating and making cards for my youngest sons graduation. I applied vinyl to a 3 gallon plastic beverage dispenser with a silhouette of a grad, Congrats Josh, date and it turned out so cute I ended up changing the name and passing it on to many of his friends. Enjoy this year. Someone said” having children- the days are long but the years are short”. Isn’t that the truth!

I’m having a problems with Border Bits not loading on my laptop properly. Not all the characters are showing up. It loaded on my desktop ok and today when I went to use it..not all the characters were there. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Desktop is Windows Vista and Laptop is Windows 7. Would that make a difference?

Rhonda, I already answered you in another post but I will copy here. I am not a Windows person so I don’t know what the problem is but my suggestion would be to copy the borderbits.ttf file from the Vista machine over to the Win 7 machine.

Hi! Thanks so much for this file. Congrats to your daughters and to you too! I have 2 daughters graduating this year as well – one from High School and the other from College with an Art Education degree! We will have 3 large parties in one month – one combined family party and each grad will have her own party! MM

Please forgive my ignorance, but now that I have dropped this file into my Mac’s download files, how do I get it onto the Silhouette cutting page?

There are many ways. Here are a couple From within Silh Studio pull down the File menu and select Merge and then navigate to Downloads folder and click on the file name then click OK. Another way is to drag and drop the file from the downloads folder to the mat in Silh Studio.
