Latest Silh Studio Update

May 27, 2014 by Kay

Version 3.0.531 was released today and I have run it against my list of more than 3 dozen bugs. About a third have been fixed, about a third have not been fixed and about a third will take time to investigate. I have also found a few new bugs in this version, which has not had the thorough beta testing the last version had. I still see no advantage of V3 over V2 that is worth the additional clunkiness/bugs and would advise most people against updating for the time being.

I had trouble with V3 and went back to legacy version. Thanks for the info that newest upgrade does not make it worth trying V3 at this time

Thanks, Kay! That’s great information. As you stated, there is no advantage of v3 over v2….especially with all of the added bugs. Appreciate the update.

A big “Thank You” Kay. Since you are my Silhouette guru, I have vowed not to upgrade to ver. 3 until YOU think it is worth the effort. I have enough to learn already without using software that doesn’t behave the way it is supposed to. I appreciate your sharing the results of all your hard work, and for sharing your expertise with us.

Thanks, Kay, for keeping us informed. I’ll still be waiting for your thumbs up. I hope they are planning to enable drag n drop to the library. That was one thing that bothered me the most. Please let me know if that is being worked on.

Thank you for this! I’m glad that I’ve yet to update. My skills are rudimentary and the update might actually be a setback.

MTC is looking better and better.

I’m so happy I saw your posts before installing the new version. Thank you for saving me from the hassle of uninstalling it. I don’t know if the drag-n-drop issue has been resolved or not, but that’s one feature I don’t think I can do without. There are times when the drag-n-drop feature is the only way for me to wake up my computer to open the Silhouette program. Thanks for keeping us up to date!
