If you’ve only been using “text to path” in Silhouette Studio to curve words into a circle, then you have barely scratched the surface of what this fun feature can do. Here’s a video that will start with the basics and move on to the techniques that will make you a power user.

And be sure to grab Border Bits, the font I demo in the video, here.

Not sure Karen. Is working fine for me. Might be the crazy weather or something. Hope you will try again later.

Wonderful tutorial and font! Is it possible to weld the Shift + C character around a shape to make 1 item? Each time I cut I get the border and shape separately nice but I wanted a mat. .

Love your video, very informative. When I try to use the toggle to move my work inside the circle it will not move. I can’t find anything online to resolve this issue. Please help!
    Thank you.

Sometimes the “sweet spot” is not where you expect. Hover and circle around the area until the cursor changes to a plus with arrows and then you will be able to drag the “trolley”.

When I clicked on the download ‘here’ button it takes me to page that has Border Bits and a download button. I click on that and nothing ever happens. What do I need to do to get this cute little font?

Box.com seems to be having technical difficulties. I re-uploaded a new folder and was able to download it. Please try again and thank you for bringing this to my attention. Hope you enjoy Border Bits.
