Tracing Without Tears … a new video series

January 23, 2013 by Kay

I’m very excited to be releasing Part 1 of my series of videos about tracing in Silhouette Studio. It’s a new approach I hope will help ease some frustration. In Part 1 I cover why and when you need to trace, what are the best kinds of images to trace, how to do a basic trace, and how to avoid the “double line” problem. Please help me get the word out to any Silhouette newbies you know.

Playlist for all videos in the series is here

Thanks for posting this. I haven’t had a chance to try this, but I think it is exactly what I needed to know. I have Embird software and I figured out how to save an applique as a jpg or bmp, but then I didn’t know what to do with it once I opened it in Silhouette software.

Thank you so much for these videos and all of your tutorials. You have no idea how much my family thanks you. They no longer have to hear me scream and cuss because of my silhouette frustration! You are my new best friend.

I deeply appreciate your explainations of why things are done a certain way to achieve a certain effect! Most videos do not. I look forward to more watching, learning and trying.
    Thank you so much.

Do you have a transcript of what was said? I’d love to see it if you do. I’m deaf and read lips so I’m missing everything that was said in the videos.?
