Cricut Imagine -what we know so far

July 21, 2010 by Kay

Patent application PDF with sketches

Trademark application

Price-Newly released cartridges being purchased at A.C. Moore contain a scratch off ticket with the prize being a Cricut Imagine valued at $500. (confirmed $599 at release)

Photo of unidentified product (now confirmed to be Cricut Imagine)

Post on scrapbookupdate.com

Unofficially, focus group members on message boards are confirming that they have seen a prototype of a machine that can print alone, cut alone (using existing cartridges) and print and cut (using new cartridges). (now confirmed with the caveat that printing can only be done with cartridge images.)

Note: For a round up of ways you can print and cut with your current Cricut and printer, just click Print and Cut tab at the top of any page on this blog.

I think this is just the patent for the current Gypsy written broadly to include features they might want to add in the future. You will notice that the Imagine patent also includes features that are not in the current Imagine.
